  3. Eligibility

Passed 10 + 2 or its equivalent with Physics, Maths & English as main subjects with minimum qualifying marks as below:

General Candidates

SC / ST / OBC Candidates

i.  Passed English at 10+2 level
            AND

ii. Minimum 55% Aggregate Marks in Maths & Physics

i.  Passed English at 10+2 level
            AND

ii. Minimum 50% Aggregate Marks in             Maths & Physics

For Candidates (of all categories) possessing higher qualification with Maths and Physics as subjects, minimum qualifying Aggregate marks in Maths & Physics are 50% at 10+2 level.

 Note:-

i)      In case SC/ST and OBC candidates do not qualify even after 5% relaxation in the Entrance Written test, the seats would be de-reserved for General Category.

ii)     Total 150  candidates shall be selected for training as per merit list.  They shall be inducted in batches every three months starting   September, 2012.   

iii)    Candidates can also opt for B.Sc. (Aviation) Degree from Chatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University Kanpur, conducted simultaneously with CPL Course, subject to completion of the prescribed syllabus on aviation subjects, flying at IGRUA and project work after completion of CPL. Duration of this course will be 03 years.

  4.  Age Limit:  

Minimum age limit for above course is 17 years at the time of joining the course.

  5.  Medical:

Selected candidates will have to submit Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate before joining.

6.  Training fee:  

Rs.26.5 Lacs payable in four installments ( Likely to be revised upwards ) + Service Tax as applicable

7.  Boarding & Lodging:

Separate Hostels for Boys and Girls. Hostel accommodation within the campus (on twin sharing basis) and Messing is provided. (Charges approximately Rs. 7000/- per month).

8.  Selection:

Selection procedure consists of Written Test, Pilot Aptitude/ Psychometric Test , Viva  and Interview in the following manner:-

 a) Written Test:

At allotted centers on 01^st July 2012 (Sunday) at 10:00 hrs onwards.

Examination Centres:

   (i) Delhi

(ii) Hyderabad

 (iii) Kolkatta

 (iv) Lucknow

 (v) Mumbai

                             (Option for  two centers  is  to  be  made giving first and second choice)

Syllabus for Written Test:

General English, Maths, Physics & Reasoning (10+2 level and objective type only).

Qualifying Marks in Written Test:

The total numbers of shortlisted candidates after written examination will be at least three times the total seats (450) in the order of Written Test Merit. However, the cutoff marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be 5% less from the marks secured by the last candidate in the General category.

Written Test Result:

Result of Written Test and schedule of Pilot Aptitude Test/ Psychometric Test/Interview will be available at IGRUA Website at http://www.igrua.gov.in/   on or  09^th July 2012.

b) Pilot Aptitude Test / Psychometric Test

-       To be conducted at (IGRUA Fursatganj) for all Candidates.

-       Only successful candidates in Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Test shall qualify for final selection. 

-       No relaxation in criteria will be applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates in Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Test.

-       All, excluding SC/ST candidates, will be required to pay Rs.6,000/- as Application/ Pilot Aptitude/ Psychometric Test fee.

c)  Interview/ Viva :

Interview and viva for all successful candidates in Written Test will be conducted at IGRUA, Raebareli from  16^th July 2012 onwards.

All short listed Candidates will be required to produce following  documents in original at the time of interview:

(i)       Proof of Date of Birth ( such as 10th Class certificate )

(ii)      10^th Marksheet

(iii)     10+2 Marksheet

(iv)     Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC Candidates

(v)      A Certificate from the competent Authority that the OBC Candidate does not belong to Creamy layer

 9.  Admit Cards:

Admit Cards will be sent by Courier/ Post directly to the candidates. If Admit Cards are not received by 24^th June 2012. IGRUA office can be contacted on telephone for further instructions. Information regarding Roll number and allotted examination center will also be available on IGRUA website by 15^th June 2012.

10.  Traveling Allowance to SC/ST:

SC/ST candidates will be reimbursed 2nd Class to and fro rail fare on production of tickets from their registered address to Raebareli to appear for Pilot Aptitude/ Psychometric Test / Interview.

12.  Documents to be attached  along with Application Form :

Candidates applying off line will be required to submit below mentioned Documents enclosed along with their application form.

(i)         Two Recent passport size photographs (One pasted on Application Form and the other enclosed) with name written at the back.

(ii)        Non-refundable Application fee of Rs. 6,000/- by Demand Draft in favour of ‘Indira Gandhi  

           Rashtriya Uran Akademi’ drawn on any nationalized/ scheduled Bank and payable at Raebarely.

(iii)       Only SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.

13.  Last Date :

Last date for receipt of application is   26^th May 2012.
