  3. Eligibility

Passed 10 + 2 or its equivalent with Physics, Maths & English as main subjects with minimum qualifying marks as below:

General Candidates

SC / ST / OBC Candidates

i.  Passed English at 10+2 level
            with

i.  Passed English at 10+2 level
            AND

ii. Minimum 50% Aggregate Marks in  Maths & Physics

 Note:-

i)      In case SC/ST and OBC candidates do not qualify even after 5% relaxation in the Entrance Written test, the seats would be de-reserved for General Category.

ii)     Total 150 candidates shall be selected for training as per respective merit lists.  They shall be inducted in batches every three months starting   Sept, 2013. However, IGRUA reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of seats without giving any prior notice.   

iii)    Candidates can also opt for B.Sc. (Aviation) Degree from Chatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University Kanpur, being conducted simultaneously with CPL Course, subject to completion of the prescribed syllabus on aviation subjects, flying at IGRUA and project work after completion of CPL. Duration of this course will be 03 years.

  4.  Age Limit:  

Minimum age limit for above course is 17 years at the time of joining the course.

  5.  Medical:

Selected candidates will have to submit Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate before joining.

6.  Training fee:  

Rs. 32.5 Lacs + Applicable Taxes ( @ 12.36% at present ) payable in four  quarterly installments.

Additional expenditure for about  Rs. 1 Lac towards cost of  Uniform, Study Material, Navigation Computer, Head Phones, DGCA Examination and License fee

7.  Boarding & Lodging:

Separate Hostels for Boys and Girls. Messing and hostel accommodation within the campus (on twin sharing basis), is provided. (Charges approximately Rs. 7000/- per month).

8.  Selection:

Selection procedure consists of Written Test, Viva/Interview and Pilot Aptitude/Psychometric Test in the following manner:-

 a) Written Test:

At allotted centers on 09^th June 2013 (Sunday) at 10:00 hrs onwards.

Examination Centres:

(ii) Hyderabad

(iii) Kolkatta

 (v) Mumbai

                             (Option for  two centers  is  to  be  made giving first and second choice)

 IGRUA reserves the right to cancel any Center if numbers of Applicants for the Center are inadequate.

Syllabus for Written Test:

General English, Maths, Physics , Reasoning & Current Affairs  (10+2 level objective type questions only).

Qualifying Marks in Written Test:

The total number of shortlisted candidates after written examination will be generally three times the total seats in the order of Written Test Merit. The cutoff marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be 5% less from the cut off marks secured by the last candidate in the General category.

Written Test Result:

Result of Written Test and schedule of Inteview/Pilot Aptitude Test/ Psychometric Test will be available at IGRUA Website at http://www.igrua.gov.in/   on or  after 17^th Jun 2013 (Monday)

b)  Interview/ Viva :

Interview and viva for all successful candidates in Written Test will be conducted at IGRUA, Raebareli from 01^st  Jul 2013 (Monday) onwards.

All short listed Candidates will be required to produce following  documents in original at the time of interview:

(i)       Proof of Date of Birth ( such as 10th Class certificate )

(ii)      10^th Marksheet

(iii)     10+2 Marksheet

(iv)     Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC Candidates

(v)      A Certificate from the competent Authority that the OBC Candidate does not belong to Creamy layer.

Result for Shortlisted Candidates after interviews will be available on or after 11^th Jul 2013 (Thursday)

c) Pilot Aptitude Test / Psychometric Test:

-       Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Tests for all successful candidates in Interview / Viva will be conducted at   IGRUA, Raebareli from 29^th Jul 2013 (Monday)  onwards.

-       Only successful candidates in Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Test shall qualify for final selection. 

-       No relaxation in criteria will be applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates in Pilot Aptitude / Psychometric Test.

-       All, excluding SC/ST candidates, will be required to pay Rs.6000/- as Application/ Pilot Aptitude/ Psychometric Test fee.

d) Commitment  Money :

-       Selected Candidates will be required to pay commitment money of Rs. 2 Lacs to secure their seat withinThree weeks of declaration of final result. The commitment money will be non-refundable but adjustable against the total fee.

 9.  Admit Cards:

Admit Cards will be sent by Courier/ Post directly to the candidates. If Admit Cards are not received by 03^rd  June 2013 (Monday). IGRUA office can be contacted on telephone for further instructions. Information regarding Roll number and allotted examination center will also be available on IGRUA website by 25^th May 2013 (Saturday)

10.  Traveling Allowance to SC/ST:

SC/ST candidates will be reimbursed 2nd Class to and fro rail fare on production of tickets from their registered address to Raebareli to appear for Interview/Pilot Aptitude/ Psychometric Test.

12.  Documents to be attached  along with Application Form :

Candidates are required to submit Documents as mentioned below along with their application form.

(i)     Two Recent passport size photographs (One pasted on Application Form and the other enclosed) with name written at the back.

(ii)    Non-refundable Application fee of Rs. 6,000/- by Demand Draft in favour of ‘Indira Gandhi  Rashtriya Uran Akademi’ drawn on any nationalized/ scheduled Bank and payable at Raebareli.

(iii)   Only SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.

13.  Last Date :
